Vancouver Whitecaps Academy tryouts 2025

The Academy runs an elite development program for boys and girls. For players to be selected for a place in the Academy, players would go through an evaluation process.

Players are identified through partner or academy centre networks and extensive scouting and evaluation processes. This means recommendations from its scouting network to determine the best players suitable for the Academy.

Vancouver Whitecaps FC Academy recruits players from BC, Alberta, Manitoba, Saskatchewan, and Eastern Canada through the scouting network.

For enquiries regarding this, please get in touch with the club’s players recruitment department for more.

Vancouver Whitecaps Academy – Girls Elite REX tryouts

To further help develop women's soccer in Canada, Whitecaps FC partnered with BC Soccer and Canada Soccer to launch the first Women’s Regional EXCEL Centre (REX) in Western Canada.

The program aimed to create a pathway for women’s soccer prospects from across Canada to attend school, train, and play together daily in Burnaby, BC.

The excellent aspect about the Girls Elite Super REX is a fully funded, full-time development program.

The program also uses a national curriculum for female players from U-13 to U-18, feeding into Canada Soccer’s Women’s National EXCEL Program.

How to join the Whitecaps FC Girls Elite Super REX Program

Participation in the program is by invitation only and done in conjunction with Canada Soccer National EXCEL staff.

Vancouver Whitecaps Pre-Academy

Before receiving the full nod for the MLS Academy and Girls Elite REX levels, players can be selected for the Whitecaps FC Pre-MLS Academy and Whitecaps FC Pre-Girls Elite Program.

Players at the U-14 age level are identified and selected through the BC Soccer Premier League (BCSPL) and BC Soccer Provincial Program. For more on how to join the Pre Academy, please get in touch with the Academy.
