Philadelphia Union Soccer Academy is the youth soccer development department owned by the Major League Soccer franchise team Philadelphia Union. The Academy runs as a medium for developing young players for the senior team.
The Academy runs from age nine through to nineteen, and the graduates from the final level will be promoted to the Philadelphia Union II, the club’s second team. The Philadelphia Union Academy competes in the MLS Next League, solely created for youth soccer development in the United States and Canada.

This is a club NEU development program where players from different clubs can participate outside their current club schedule. The purpose of the program is to enhance individual player skills as well as develop new ways and patterns to help the players achieve their full potential.

Philadelphia Union Camps
The camps are scattered across various locations in the greater Philadelphia area for all levels of players, 6-14 years old. The Youth Soccer Camps are designed for ages 6 to 14 years old.
The camps provide a professional & engaging environment for young players to learn and improve their games. This includes youth summer camps as well as goalkeeper camps.
Player Pathway Program
The Union Youth Player Pathway Program (PPP) and Player Development Program (PDP) is a development program created to provide high-level training and development opportunities to advanced youth players looking for additional training outside their club. It is more like an external training program to further help the players adapt quickly to the game.
Players who participate in the program would still be a part of the Philadelphia Union Academy player identification. The Union Youth PPP and PDP are two separate programs.
PPP is a high-level program for players already at an advanced stage of their development. Players who already compete, train, and/or coach at an advanced level or play for other youth soccer clubs.
The PDP, on the other hand, is a developmental training environment to provide technique and game understanding for young players willing to move up to an advanced stage.
The programs are available to boys and girls ages U8-U14. Players would be taught professionally with age-appropriate training based on the Philadelphia Union Academy curriculum and methodology.
Note: The PPP operates on a year-round basis that is organized in the fall, winter, spring, and summer seasons. Philadelphia Union runs alongside affiliate clubs to scout for players into its Academy.
Eligibility
To be able to participate, every player must have participated in a camp, clinic, or training program and be recommended by a Philadelphia Union Youth coach.
How to join the Philadelphia Union Youth Player Pathway Program
Players considered for the program are from U8-U14. Players are picked based on recommendations from an affiliate soccer club director or a Philadelphia Union Youth coach.
