1. Chelsea FC Reserves

Brendan Rodgers began his managerial career with the Chelsea FC reserve team. He was appointed the Chelsea FC Youth team coach in 2004 following the recommendation from Steve Clarke.


There he moved to take over the management of the Chelsea FC reserve team. After four years, he left the Chelsea academy to join Watford FC.


2. Watford FC

Following his departure from the Chelsea FC Reserves, he was appointed as the new head coach of the EFL Championship club Watford FC in 2008.


Although he started poorly as the new head coach of the Hornets in January, he helped the club to finish 13th at the league table at the end of the season. His performance at the club did not go unnoticed as top teams showed interest in securing his services.


3. Reading FC

Brendan Rodgers joined Reading FC unexpectedly despite earning a trust amongst the fans and supporters.
