Inter Milan is one of the biggest football clubs in Italy, with a considerable level of success. The Nerazzurri, alongside Juventus and AC Milan, are the most successful teams in Italian football.

SK Slavia Prague 9-0 Inter Milan Jul (11, 1938)
Inter Milan’s worst defeat in history was the 9-0 loss to Slavia Prague in the first leg Quarter-Finals of the Mitropa Cup. Although the Italian conceded just two goals in the first half, the Czechians were rampant in the second half and scored seven goals.
The Mitropa Cup was the first international football competition for European football clubs.
Juventus 9-1 Inter Milan (Apr 16, 1961)
Inter Milan’s biggest loss in the Italian Serie A was the 9-1 thrashing by the Old Lady in the round eighteen fixture of the 1961/1962 season.
The fixture was heated, a derby known as Derby d’Italia, which is one of the biggest in Italy. Although the game was marred by controversy, it remains a record to forget by Inter Milan after conceding that high goal margin against their rivals.
FBC Casale 7-0 Inter Milan (Mar 19, 1922)
Casale handed Inter Milan another embarrassing defeat in the Italian top flight as they scored seven goals past the Nerazzurri in round twenty-one of the 1921/22 season.
Inter Milan 0-6 AC Milan (May 11, 2001)
AC Milan is the only club in the modern era of Italian Serie A to hand Inter one of their heaviest defeats in history. The two sides have a rivalry often known as Derby della Madonnina.
The match was played at the shared stadium, The San Siro, and there was no neutral venue for the two sides.
AC Milan went two goals up in the first half. However, the Rossoneri returned from the break to score six more goals past their rivals to finish the game, even as Andriy Shevchenko and Gianni Comandini both scored a brace.
AS Roma 6-0 Inter Milan (May 31, 1942)
The Nerazzurri were handed another heavy defeat in the Italian Serie A as they took the trip to Roma.
The home side had a brilliant start to the game after Michelangelo Pantò found the back of the net just five minutes from kickoff. The Yellow and Reds scored two goals to end the first half with a three goal lead.
The Romans scored three goals in the second half to finish the game with six goals.
