Wigan vs Blackburn Rovers TV channel, live stream and team news

At the DW Stadium on Tuesday in the EFL Championship, Wigan Athletic and Blackburn Rovers will square off.

Wigan are the only team without a home victory this year going into the midweek match. Wigan lost to Cardiff City 3-1 at home on Saturday, highlighting their ongoing struggles. The Latics have now dropped three of their previous four games, with their lone win coming on October 1 at Rotherham United by a score of 2-0. Wigan are 16th in the table with 16 points from 12 games, level on points with Stoke City and Birmingham City.

Blackburn trounced Rotherham United, 3-1, as they maintained their impressive home form. They have won their previous three home games, but they haven’t been able to replicate that performance away from home, where they have a streak of consecutive losses. Blackburn is tied for seventh place in the standings with sixth-place Swansea City on points with 21 points from 13 games.

Team News

Despite scoring Wigan’s consolation against Cardiff, Charlie Wyke may be relegated to the bench despite playing 90 minutes for the first time this season.

He might be replaced in the attack by Nathan Broadhead, and more alterations are anticipated as Curtis Tilt and Tom Naylor also seek recalls.

Tomasson might be willing to start with the same lineup despite the short turnaround after their outstanding performance against Rotherham.

If there is a change, Tyrhys Dolan will likely join the squad, possibly in place of Sam Gallagher.

Wigan Athletic 1-1 Blackburn Rovers

While Wigan will look to find their feet, they have now returned home, where they have struggled this season. They haven’t lost at home against the Rovers in 12 games since 2007, so they should perform just well enough to force a share of the spoils.
