Why was Gabriel Jesus left out of the Brazil squad?
It was a big surprise when the final list was released for Brazil’s preparations for the World Cup as some top players were missing from the roster.
The main player missing was Gabriel Jesus, arguably one of the best players in the Premier League that have powered Arsenal to the top of the league after seven games.
The London club’s only loss this season was against Man United.
Gabriel is one of the reasons Mikel Arteta leads the Premier League, and without the Brazilian, the club looks incomplete. According to statistics, he scored four goals and started all seven games.
His best game for Arsenal after seven games was against Leicester City at Emirates Stadium on August 13th, where he scored and provided two assists to finish the game with an impressive match rating of 8.9.
He appeared in the Premier League Team of the Week and has also been a good ball contributor. But what seems to be the reason for his omission from Brazil’s roster remains unseen.
But what could have prompted this? Brazil can rely on numerous players for the centre-forward, especially Richarlison, who’s been in great shape lately.
Why was Gabriel Jesus omitted from Brazil’s roster ahead of the World Cup?
It remains unclear why he was not among the invites. However, the head coach of the Brazilian Men’s National team Tite has his own decisions and has not made public why the red hot striker was left out of the team.
With the present situation, his inclusion in the final squad for the tournament in Qatar is not clear. Although, the coach would make the final say.
