Chelsea forward Hakim Ziyech was close to sealing the move to Paris Saint-Germain on deadline day. The Moroccan was one of the players in Chelsea’s list of players heading for the exit door.

However, it did not go as planned. According to French journalist Bruno Salomon via Fichajes, Chelsea had sent the wrong documents three times.

The player had accepted personal terms with Paris Saint-Germain before the closing hours of the transfer market.

For Ziyech, leaving Chelsea following the arrival of some of the most coveted players in Europe could put him on the edge and risk missing out on the first team.

Paris Saint-Germain on the other hand targets Ziyech as they want to improve their squad rotation and improve the offensive position taking into account the departure of Pablo Sarabia to Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Fichajes further reveals PSG also tried to sign Marco Asensio, but Real Madrid refused to negotiate with them.
