It is no longer a secret the rumoured potential exit of Cristiano Ronaldo at Juventus in the summer to two major destinations like France and England.
The rumours of his exit from Juventus is all about the inability of the Italian Serie A giants to pay his high salary at the club as a result of economic effects in Italy caused by the Coronavirus pandemic which affected the Italian economy.
According to Bernabeau Digital, Ronaldo is expected to join either French club Paris Saint Germain or Premier League side Manchester United, where he played a major role under former coach Sir Alex Ferguson before switching to Real Madrid.
But Watford FC captain Troy Deeney has claimed that Wolverhampton Wanderers could also be in line to sign the Portuguese legendary attacker.
“I would look more at a club like Wolverhampton, which has a strong connection with Portugal. The wolves are creating something and will be fighting for the top six in the next few years. The connection with Portugal is very positive and if they want to go to the next level, Ronaldo is the type of player they need, “commented the forward.
Nuno Espírito Santo as head coach, the Wolves have Rui Patricio, Nelsón Semedo, Neves, Moutinho, Vítor Ferreira, Pedro Neto, Fábio Silva and Daniel Podence.
Wolves aim for the top six and would do everything to achieve it despite losing some key players to bigger teams in the division.
