Which team has beaten Manchester United the most in the Premier League?

Manchester United has at least grown into one of the biggest clubs in the world in terms of popularity. Since its foundation in 1878 and until today, the club has grown year by year, writing one of the richest histories of football clubs.

Founded as Newton Heath, in the first years of its existence, it participated only in local leagues and had huge financial problems to survive.

It got its current name in 1902. During the 20s and 30s of the 20th century, it was relegated several times. Without significant results, he met the beginning of World War II, in which their Old Trafford stadium suffered serious damage.

In 1945, manager Matt Busby came to head the club. His name will later be written in golden letters in the history of this great club. Busby revived the club, bringing it three titles in the 1950s and one FA Cup in 1948.

At that time, Manchester played the best football on the Island. Journalists competed in praise and epithets for the Busby Babes (the team’s nickname then).

Fate wanted this generation to play its last game in Belgrade against Crvena Zvezda in 1958 in the Champions Cup. Namely, the plane with Manchester football players crashed right after taking off from the airport in Munich, and eight players did not survive this tragedy. Busby, due to fortunate circumstances, survived and immediately set about creating a “new” Manchester.

Eight years after the tragedy (1965), Manchester became the champion of England and repeated the same success two years later. 1968. and became the first club from England to win the Champions Cup, defeating the powerful Portuguese Benfica in the final (4:1). After this huge success, the club fell into mediocrity, and in 1974 it dropped out of the 1st league.

The club quickly returned to the company of the best, but until the arrival of Alex Ferguson as manager, it did not have any notable results.

In 1992, the English Premier League was created, the first winner was Manchester United, and Ferguson brought the club its first championship title after 26 years. During his time in the club, the legendary Scotsman has won 13 Premier League titles, 2 Champions League titles, 5 FA Cup titles, 4 League Cup titles, 1 European Cup Winners’ Cup, an Intercontinental Cup, and a Club World Cup.

For his merits, Alex Ferguson was awarded the prestigious title of Sir. In the era of Alex Ferguson, the great names of the game played or still play, Eric Cantona, Bryan Robson, Roy Keane, Ryan Giggs, Steve Bruce, Mark Hughes, Gary Neville, David Beckham, Cristiano Ronaldo, Wayne Rooney, and many other masters of the most important secondary things in the world.

Manchester United’s biggest rivals are Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea, and Manchester City. How great the rivalry with the club from Anfield is, is also shown by the fact that no player has moved from one club to another for 48 years! Matches with Liverpool are always full of energy because they are the two best English clubs in history.

Arsenal – Manchester United, it is a derby that decided the champion of England at the beginning of this century. Today, these clubs meet under changed circumstances.

Arsenal is the team that played against Manchester United in most league matches in the history of English football. Logically, Manchester United has suffered the most defeats in league matches by Arsenal.

But since the foundation of the Premier League, some other London team has supremacy over Manchester United in their h2h matches. It’s Blue London’s team, Chelsea. These teams played 60 matches in the Premier League, and Chelsea won in 18, Manchester United was better in 17, and 25 matches ended in a draw

United’s biggest rival Liverpool has also reached 18 wins in h2h duels. In 60 matches in the Premier League, Liverpool has 18 wins, Manchester United 28, and 14 times they played a draw.
