The Road to the FIFA World Cup in 2026 begins on the South American continent. The tournament will take place in the United States, Canada and Mexico.

Paraguay will tackle Peru at Estadio Antonio Aranda. The two sides are not new regarding this level of football on the continent, as they’ve faced each other several times.

Paraguay has made eight appearances at the FIFA World Cup, with their last participation in the 2010 edition in South Africa. Newcastle United and Premier League star Miguel Almiron is expected to lead the attack for Paraguay as they hope to begin the qualifiers strongly.

Peru has made five appearances at the FIFA World Cup, with their last participation in the 2018 edition in Russia. Ahead of the fixture with Paraguay, the Peruvians has two wins, two defeats and a draw in five games.
