The 2023/24 Bundesliga 2 begins on Friday night as Hamburger SV host Schalke 04 at Volksparkstadion.

Hamburger SV failed to secure Bundesliga promotion last season as they fell to VfB Stuttgart in the playoffs.  The Dinosaurs are now set for another challenge in the second division.

Schalke 04 returns to the second division following their relegation from the Bundesliga last season. 

The Royal Blues will be looking to start strong as they take on Hamburger SV.
