It has been a tough start for Azerbaijan in the European qualifiers. However, there’s optimism even as they face Belgium at Dalga Arena in Baku.

Azerbaijan lost their first two games of the qualifiers against Sweden and Austria before Kryvotsiuk’s second-half strike earned the team’s first point in the game with Estonia.

Belgium has enjoyed an excellent start to the European qualifiers with two wins and a draw. Belgium and Austria are at joint top of Group F with six points, while Azerbaijan is at the bottom with just a point after three games.

Head coach Domenico Tedesco will hope to get a convincing result on the road as the race for the top of the table remains open.
