Saudi Pro League defending champions Al Ittihad begins the new season on the road against Al Raed on Monday evening.

The two sides will square up at King Abdullah Sport City Stadium.

Al-Raed finished mid-table (10th) in the Saudi Pro League last season. The Buraidah-based club, however, faces an uphill task coming up against Al Ittihad.

Visitors Al Ittihad were outstanding in the Arab Clubs Champions League but faced elimination from the competition following the 3-1 loss to Al Hilal.

However, Al Hilal goes into the new season with optimism following their triumph last season and will be looking to replicate the same feat amid the feat.
