Where is Alexander Sørloth? Leipzig to Real Sociedad loan
Norwegian forward Alexander Sørloth was linked with several high profile European football clubs including the likes of West Ham United before his move to Germany.
However, his unique form that was behind Leipzig’s push for his services did not see the light of day in the German league, just as how everyone expected it to be.
He was eventually loaned out to the Spanish La Liga club Real Sociedad for more playing time. So far, he has played 14 times in the league and has scored just once leading to the question as to what happened to the red hot striker.
What happened to Alexander Sørloth?
But what could be the problem with Sørloth at RB Leipzig? The Saxony based club was tipped to be at the top of the log this season, but the reverse seems to be the case.
From Jesse Marsch to Domenico Tedesco, Leipzig is currently facing the worst start of their Bundesliga history with lots changes expected to be made in time to avoid a disastrous finish in the end.
Sørloth is expected to return to the club next summer even as Leipzig prepares for a new era without their long-standing coach, Julian Nagglesman who joined Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich.
