West Ham has offered £30 Million to Manchester United for signing defender Harry Maguire. Last month, the Hammers’ £20 million offer for the England international was turned down.

According to reports, Harry Maguire is ready to join David Moyes’ squad if the East London club and the Red Devils agree on a deal.

After losing Declan Rice to Arsenal earlier in the transfer window, David Moyes is scrambling to strengthen his team in preparation for another European campaign.

As a result, the Hammers recently agreed to sign Ajax midfielder Edson Alvarez, and they are currently focusing on acquiring the Manchester United duo of Maguire and Scott McTominay.

After United’s terrible start to the Premier League season, the 30-year-old lost his starting position in the first team. Raphael Varane and Lisandro Martinez formed a strong defensive partnership, and they never looked in danger of losing their place in the team.

Erik ten Hag used Victor Lindelof and Luke Shaw in the center of the defense at the end of the previous season while Varane and Martinez were sidelined, making Harry Maguire the fifth-choice center-back. Last month, Ten Hag made another significant choice by removing Maguire as club captain.

The 30-year-old knows that under Erik ten Hag, a lack of playing time might harm his chances of playing for England at Euro 2024. Rumours from West Ham claim that Moyes promised Maguire that if he joined this summer, he would captain the Hammers.

The deal looks suitable for all the parties involved, and it seems like Maguire’s troubled time with Manchester United is ending.
