West Bromwich Albion will take on Bristol City in the Championship on tonight at the Hawthorns.
Less than a year after being appointed, veteran manager Steve Bruce was fired due to the hosts’ rocky start to the season.
However, they went on to defeat Reading 2-0 away thanks to goals from Matt Phillips and Taylor Gardner-Hickman in either half to record their first victory since Bruce’s departure.
With 14 points from the same number of games, West Brom is 20th in the standings. They are only one point above the drop zone, and this week they plan to try to increase that distance.
After a solid start to their campaign, Bristol has since battled for success. They were pretty lacklustre in attack and lost their most recent game, 2-1, against Millwall.
Bristol only had one shot on goal the entire game, and it was an own goal midway through the second half that gave them the victory.

Prediction
West Brom 2-1 Bristol City
With their most recent victory breaking a nine-game losing streak in all competitions, West Brom will now want to build on that success. However, they have only won one of their seven league home games this year, so that they might struggle here.
Bristol, meanwhile, has won just one of its previous seven games and has lost two of its last three contests. A narrow win seems to be on the cards for West Ham
