Felix Agu won’t be available for Bremen on Friday due to a knee issue, and Jean Manuel Mbom is still out with an Achilles tendon rupture.
Oliver Burke is expected to be called upon from the bench of substitutes, as Werner is unlikely to make any changes to his starting XI after winning the last match.
Schalke, meanwhile, will be missing Thomas Ouwejan, Dominick Drexler, Jordan Larsson, Leo Greiml, Rodrigo Zalazar, Marcin Kaminski, and Timothee Kolodziejczak.
