Premier League outfit Tottenham Hotspur have shown a lot of interest in the NFL, one of the most popular sports in the United States.

Spurs have shown long term interest in bringing the NFL franchise closer to Europe, which could be linked to the construction of the new Tottenham Hotspur stadium to accommodate NFL matches.

In a bid to accelerate the process, Spurs also engaged in several moves, including the recent holiday by top players like Lucas, Reguilon, and Hojbjerg, testing their knowledge of the NFL.

Lucas Moura, Sergio Reguilón, and Pierre-Emile Højbjerg were seen showing what they knew about the NFL in Betway’s video with Tottenham. The trio did show what they knew of the sport by demonstrating and answering a few questions that were thrown at them.

A plan to bring the NFL closer to Europe and Britain

The NFL is a popular sport in the United States and other North American countries. Over the years, the NFL has made several moves to increase the competition’s global reach.

The desire to increase the popularity was behind its introduction on the European continent, branded the NFL Europe in countries like Germany, England and France.

Tottenham Hotspur owners, on the other hand, know the possibility to earn from hosting NFL games. This and more pushed for constructing the new Tottenham Hotspur stadium suitable to host NFL games.

A shot at revenue generation

Spurs owners know the importance of hosting NFL games to increase the club’s revenue outside the Premier League and other football competitions.
