Three Premier League clubs trying to hijack Josko Gvardiol Man City move
Although Manchester City looks set to secure the signing of RB Leipzig defender Josko Gvardiol, it may not come easier for the Cityzens as other Premier League clubs are trying to take advantage of the situation around the player’s future.
According to Fichajes, Chelsea, Liverpool FC, and Manchester United are seriously looking at the situation surrounding Josko Gvardiol and the potential move to Man City in the summer.
The 21-year-old Croatian defender has continued to attract interest from top European football clubs due to his potential and outstanding performance for his club and country.
Last season, he was outstanding and helped Leipzig secure the German Cup for the second time in the club’s history and this has resulted in increased interest.
But despite this interest from European clubs, Manchester City appears to be the most interested club in the pursuit of the player.
Liverpool, Manchester City, and Chelsea looking to hijack Gvardiol City’s move
Fichajes reveals the three Premier League clubs have taken the advantage to submit bids for the player as they try to bolster their squad ahead of next season.
Although Man City remains the favourite to land his signature, the competition would be fierce with the recent interest from these three clubs.
The report also shows the three clubs are willing to compete with the Cityzens until the final throw of the dice.
RB Leipzig wants 100 million euros
One of the biggest problems Manchester City has encountered in the pursuit of the player is the high valuation RB Leipzig has placed on him.
The Bundesliga club is reportedly asking for as high as 100 million euros before a deal could be struck with any team even as they look to make him the most expensive defender in world football.
