Schalke 04 has apparently reduced the number of options that were listed earlier for the role of head coach after the sacking of David Wagner.
In the previous list, former manager Ralf Rangnick was also listed as a top candidate to hand the job. However, the former Leipzig manager almost ruled out himself from a possible return to the Bundesliga at this moment.
According to WAZ as published by Fussball Transfers, the listed has been trimmed down to three. The list includes Manuel Baum, Dimitrios Grammozis and Mark van Bommel.
Schalke decided to pull the plug on Wagner after two successive losses against Bayern Munich and SV Werder Bremen. The Royal blues are expected to announce Wagner’s successor in the next couple of days.
