The top two destinations for Donny van de Beek in the summer transfer window
Donny Van de Beek is one of the names expected to leave Manchester United in the summer transfer window as Erik ten Haag continues his team shake-up.
The Dutch midfielder only has two options since his future at Old Trafford is unclear.
He joined United from Ajax as one of the best midfielders and was tipped to be one of the long-term projects at the club. However, this hasn’t materialized, forcing him to move to Everton on loan.
Man United paid over 40 million euros for his services at the time, but he’s failed to live up to expectations ever since.
We expected Van de Beek’s torrid career in the Premier League to change following the arrival of Erik ten Haag at Old Trafford. However, it was not as expected. Last season, he could only manage 294 minutes in 10 games for the Red Devils.
As United prepares for the 2023/2024 season, the 26-year-old must find a solution to his situation at the club.
The problem for van de Beek had been the availability of experienced players like Casemiro, Bruno Fernandes, and Fred in the midfield, which made it difficult for him to break through.
According to Fichajes, van de Beek has two potential destinations in the summer. He could join a club in the Italian Serie A or the German Bundesliga. The report reveals offers from the leagues above could see him decide his future when the transfer window starts on July 1st.
