Real Madrid are constantly scouting for young players on the South American continent, even as the club aims to have a squad that will dominate Europe in the next decades.

Just as the club did with Endrick, who recently signed a Brazilian transfer record for a teenager, the Los Blancos had followed the progress of the player from the Palmeiras youth ranks competing in the São Paulo Youth Championships.

Although the deal may not see these players join the club, they’ll have to turn 18 years old, just as in the case of Endrick.

The South American U20 tournament is one of the largest player pools where clubs from the Americas and Europe often scout talented young players.

According to Defensa Central (h/t Fichajes), Real Madrid will follow three players to see if they would be suitable for a transfer in the next transfer window.

Alejandro Garnacho is already a household name in English football. The left winger plays for Manchester United’s first team and was recently linked with a move to Real Madrid.

Garnacho is a player Florentino Pérez likes, and he will likely follow up with his development at the U20 tournament in South America.

Arón Sánchez
