The three Arsenal targets in the summer transfer window
Arsenal are looking to close some signings in the summer to strengthen their squad for next season. The Gunners have identified three key targets when the window starts on July 1st.
This comes as the club secured qualification for the UEFA Champions League for 2023/24. And you know how important it would be to have a strong squad.
For this, Arsenal plans to invest more than 200 million euros to close in on these signings on time so they could blend in before the commencement of the new season in August.
According to Fichajes, Declan Rice and two other players are key targets for the gunners in the summer
Declan Rice
Perhaps he is the main target for the club. But it would come at a high cost as West Ham United demands more money. In our previous article, we reported Arsenal’s second bid worth more than 70 million euros.
However, it was rejected, according to Sky Sports, but the North London club is expected to make a third bid as they will not give up on the player.
Jurrien Timber
Manchester United-linked youngster Jurrien Timber is among the players Arsenal is keen to get in the summer transfer window. The 22-year-old Ajax defender has a contract that runs until the summer of 2023.
However, Arsenal is willing to invest around 50 million pounds on the defender. Mikel Arteta could complete a squad rotation with the youngster’s arrival in central defense.
Kai Havertz
Although the club had emphasized Declan Rice’s signing, Kai Havertz is another important player to the Gunners, who are looking to close in on a deal in the summer.
The Chelsea forward could leave Stamford Bridge as the club is willing to sell him in the summer. Arsenal is also keen to cough out 80 million euros for the player.
