Real Madrid
The 5 squad changes Real Madrid should make in the summer of 2023
Even though Carlo Ancelotti is willing to work with the current crop of players in the team, a significant number of reinforcement is needed in the summer. According to the article by Fichajes, Real Madrid should sign these five players in the summer transfer window of 2023.
One of the areas of concern had been in the centre forward. There’s a growing threat of a reliable goal scorer in the team which Karim Benzema does not guarantee for the team.
Since the return from the world cup break, a lot of cracks in the Real Madrid first team have surfaced which raises concerns to some extent.
Recall that Los Blancos lost the Spanish Super Cup final to FC Barcelona.
The 5 squad changes Real Madrid should make in 2023
Centre forward
Although Karim Benzema had his best season in the 2021/22 campaign, there should be a change in the centre forward to improve competition. Endrick Felipe will only join the club in June 2024 which is a long time from now.
Real Madrid must sign a reliable player in the centre-forward position if they should compete at the highest level in Europe.
Left-back
Although Ferland Mendy has been exceptional, lately, he’s been one of the most heavily criticized players on the team.
Right back
Dani Carvajal was outstanding, especially last season. However, there have been lapses that must be fixed. Real Madrid Castilla youngster Vinícius Tobías should be introduced to create competition in this position.
In the market, Real Madrid should go all out for Josko Gvardiol and Jude Bellingham even though the competition for these players seems to be intense.
