Simon Rolfes Bayer Leverkusen sporting director eyes winter signings

Published

on

At Bayer Leverkusen, the club does not completely rule out the possibility of making changes in the team. As revealed by the club’s sporting director Simon Rolfes, the Bundesliga club are expecting new signings in the winter.

He stressed the need for new players even as the team continues preparations for the second half of the 2021/2022 Bundesliga season.

Interview as cited by FussballTransfers, Leverkusen could be busy in the market.

“never completely rule out the possibility of something else happening.” With regard to new players, “we’re not closing our minds,” explains the sports director.

“We are currently already well-positioned and double-staffed in every position.” That’s why we don’t want to rush into anything on the transfer market. We already have “a good basis for the second half of the season,” he added.

Leverkusen is currently in top gear ahead of the commencement of the second half of the league. Bayern Munich currently leads the table followed closely by Borussia Dortmund.
