Following the opening day defeat to Southampton at home, Sheffield Wednesday shifts attention to the Carabao Cup as Stockport County visits Hillsborough in the first round.

Lee Gregory drew level for the Owls on Saturday afternoon after Adam Armstrong had given the Saints an early lead. However, it was not enough as Che Adams scored the winner for the visitors late in the game.

Sheffield Wednesday were eliminated in the third round last season against Southampton on penalties.

Stockport County lost to Gillingham at home in the EFL League Two on Saturday. 

The Hatters turn to the Carabao Cup where they were eliminated in the second round last season.
