This year’s Europa League final will be played at the Puskás Aréna in the Hungarian capital city of Budapest. It is an all-seater with a capacity of 67,215.

The Puskás arena was opened in 2019 at a construction cost of €533 million. It was named after Ferenc Puskás, former national team captain and one of the greatest footballers in Europe.

Since its establishment, it has risen to the level of a UEFA Category 4 stadium as it has been used to host top European football finals like the 2020 UEFA Super Cup.

The stadium record attendance was the grand opening fixture between Hungary and Uruguay on 15th November 2019 which produced a record attendance of 65,114.

It is also the venue for national finals like the Hungarian Cup, Super Cup, etc. Other matches include fixtures involving the Hungry national football team and clubs in European companies whose stadiums are not up to UEFA requirements.
