Nigerian defender Semi Ajayi is expected to face his former side Arsenal in the Premier League despite not having a single appearance with the senior team.
Ajayi who was in the books of the North London club back in 2013, only managed few starts with the club’s U21 setup, although he managed to make the substitute bench four times before leaving the club in 2015 for the Championship side Cardiff City.
Moving to West Brom from already relegated Rotherham FC in 2019, he has managed 58 appearances for the baggies, scoring six goals in the process.
Despite West Brom’s dismal performance in the league this season, he has continued to star in the first team as one of the regulars.
Ajayi made history, scoring his first Premier League goal which helped the club secure a draw at Liverpool after he was deprived of doing so with Arsenal five years ago.
The 27-year old Nigerian has only missed a single action this season in the Premier League. Featuring for the side for 15 league games out of 16.
In the two years he spent at Rotherham, Ajayi had a total of 81 appearances, scoring 11 goals that could stop the club from relegated to the English League One. Rotherham has since returned to the EFL Championship.

The success he has recorded so far this season shows how excellent he has become in recent years. At least, before the end of the current campaign, the possibilities of receiving offers from clubs will increase.
Ajayi played ninety minutes as Leeds United defeated the baggies four days ago.
West Brom currently struggling in the league and would need urgent recruitment at the aspect of the team to try and save the season.
The recent appointment of legendary coach Sam Allardyce is expected to accelerate the team from its current position in the bottom of the league table, to more suitable position at the end of the season.
Ajayi is expected to continue with his current form till the end of the season with the baggies.
