Sassuolo sporting director speaks on Domenico Berardi to Juventus transfer
Despite constant links to Juventus, the player is far from reaching an agreement with the club in the summer. This is according to the latest from the club’s sporting director.
Giovanni Carnevali, head of sports at the Serie A club, spoke to the press regarding the future of Domenico Berardi and the potential move to Juventus.
“The reality is that I have not received any official offer. When Juve first asked us about Berardi, we only made an economic speech. Sassuolo made it clear that the valuation of the player exceeded 30 million, but from our side there was a willingness to listen to an offer from Juve and find together the right amount and the formula that could satisfy both clubs.
We wanted to please Berardi, whom we love very much, but we could not neglect the needs of our club and that is why I had specified to Juve that we would not accept the inclusion of players in the negotiation because we have already changed so much”. Said Giovanni Carnevali, as relayed by Fichajes.com
Juventus wants to bolster their squad with the signing of Domenico Berardi, who, according to statistics, has 12 goals and seven assists in 26 games. The old lady are searching for a reliable goal scorer and will try to sign the 29-year-old.
