Rotherham United will begin preparation for the 2023/24 in July with a series of friendlies. The Millers finished 19th in the EFL Championship last season.

Amongst the teams selected, the team will take on Premier League side Sheffield United which earned promotion to the English top flight after finishing second on the league table last season.

The Millers will host familiar foes Middlesbrough at home in their second warm-up game.

United will travel to One Call Stadium to face EFL League Two side Mansfield Town FC.

Rotherham United vs Sheffield United

Perhaps one of the biggest tests for The Millers, Sheffield United will play in the English Premier League next season following their promotion.

The Blades finished second last season behind Burnley FC to get the second automatic promotion ticket.

The last meeting between the two sides in October ended in a scoreless draw.
