There is a lot of confusion about the supposed exit clause in Erling Haaland’s contract. From Spain, it can be heard that Borussia Dortmund wants to take the Norwegian’s outstanding achievements into account.

Is there a contractual clause or just an oral agreement? And does Erling Haaland theoretically get out of his contract with Borussia Dortmund in 2021 or not until 2022? There is a lack of clarity when it comes to the 19-year-old’s contract at Borussia Dortmund. The contract is also a hot topic in Spain because Haaland has done a lasting job to the bosses of Real Madrid.

The tenor there: The striker may leave Borussia 2022 by clause if a club puts 75 million euros on the table. A manageable sum if you take Haaland’s exceptional talent and his outstanding perspective as a basis. According to the ‘Defensa Central’ portal, Borussia Dortmund is now tinkering with a contract adjustment. Dortmund is ready to adjust the salary upwards if at the same time the clause is raised to at least 100 million.

Dortmund would take into account the rapid development of the youngster. Haaland only came from RB Salzburg to the black and yellow team in winter for 20 million euros. Since then, he has scored 13 goals in twelve games. In addition to Real Madrid, Manchester United should also be interested in a future commitment.
