Real Madrid would have to pay 60 million euros for Joao Gomes
Real Madrid isn’t resting in their pursuit for a long and short-term solution in the midfield amid successes with recent signings and the necessity to keep the squad intact.
And this would amount to the payment of a huge sum amid competition from other top European football clubs.
At the moment, Real Madrid are evaluating the possibility of signing Joao Gomes from Flamengo. The 21-year-old midfielder has been subject of interest by some top European clubs, including Manchester United, Bayer Leverkusen and Liverpool.
But a problem could prevent the Los Blancos from landing the midfielder who’s already compared to Casemiro.
According to Fichajes, Flamengo are not interested in negotiating with clubs for a possible sale of Joao Gomes. However, the only way he could depart the club is the willingness of any club to pay 60 million euros for his services.
Real Madrid intends to sign the Brazilian for 40 million euros as Florentino Pérez is interested in the Brazilian and sees him as a long-term project.
The Spanish giants are looking at the possibility of fixing their midfield problems on time amid concerns about an ageing midfield with players like Luca Modrić and Toni Kroos.
