Real Madrid is looking to make additions to the left-back position and are targeting Rayo Vallecano sensation Fran García who is already attracting interest from Bundelkhand side Bayer Leverkusen.
Fran García is currently one of the best left-backs in Spanish La Liga and it would not be an easy ride for Los Blancos to land his services. Bayer Leverkusen led by Xabi Alonso has considered him to be the best option in the defense and this is expected to raise the level of competition for his services.
According to Fichajes, Bayer Leverkusen are willing to pay his release clause which is worth 10 million euros, whereas Real Madrid are only willing to pay only five million euros for his services.
But in Madrid, there’s growing desperation already. Carlo Ancelotti is considering making significant changes to the team, especially in defense as Ferland Mendy had already been recently criticized for his performance.
Another area had been the centre forward where Karim Benzema remained unchallenged for that position. But his consistency in front of goal is what requires improvement.
Real Madrid are eyeing Fran García signing in the summer transfer window in 2023 along with other high-profile names in other positions.
