Real Madrid already considering Pochettino as a replacement for Ancelotti
Real Madrid could consider a managerial change at the end of the season depending on the team’s performance under Carlo Ancelotti. The Los Blancos have some high level competitions they would participate in including the UCL, FIFA Club World Cup and the LaLiga.
What would keep Ancelotti at the club for next season is if he wins anything significant, at least a trophy would help.
According to Spanish Newspaper Sport (h/t Fichajes), at the end of the season, president Florentino Pérez will start a new project where he is expected to choose a new captain and potentially a new manager which would depend on the outcome of the current season.
The report claims Real Madrid could choose Mauricio Pochettino as the new manager if Ancelotti is no longer in charge of the team.
The Portfolio and the big job
Mauricio Pochettino has already managed some of the biggest teams in Europe including Paris Saint-Germain. And it would be a significant step in his career leading the bench at the Santiago Bernabéu.
