RB Leipzig star Luan Cândido set to sign for RB Bragantino permanently
Brazilian defender Luan Cândido will no longer return to RB Leipzig this time but would remain in Brazil to join RB Bragantino, Leipzig’s sister club that competes in the Campeonato Brasileiro Série A permanently. He spent the 2021 season with RB Bragantino.
The 20-year-old left-back will stay in his Brazil where he is set to be offered a five-year contract until the summer of 2026 as per FussballTransfers publication.
RB Leipzig signed Luan Cândido back in 2019 from Brazilian giants Palmeiras for eight million euros, but there was never a time he was handed an opportunity to play for the Bundesliga club.
He spent the whole of 2021 with RB Bragantino where his performance had sparked the need to keep him beyond his loan spell.
Luan Cândido stats in 2021 with RB Bragantino
He was a useful player throughout the year. In the Série A, he played eighteen matches and scored three times for the Red Bull-owned club.
In other competitions like in the Copa Sudamericana, Luan Cândido featured six times. He also played four matches in the 2021 Copa do Brasil and Campeonato Paulista Série A respectively.

In Germany, there’s currently no place for him at the moment and his performance with Bragantino was quite impressive.
