RB Leipzig releases early summer schedule for 2021/2022 Bundesliga season
RB Leipzig releases an early summer schedule ahead of the 2021/2022 Bundesliga season which starts after the European Championships.
As part of plans for the new Bundesliga season, the Saxony based club released a schedule even as coach Jesse Marsch set to begins a new era at the club.
The club will commence preparations for the 2021/2022 Bundesliga season as early as the 5th of June 2021.
This would be however be without most of his first-team players that will on international duty for the European Championships.
RB Leipzig will begin the new season as early as June with a friendly against Dutch Eredivisie side AZ Alkmaar on July 17th.
The club will also take on French Ligue 1 outfit Montpellier on July 23, (6 p.m) with another tough encounter against Dutch league winners Ajax Amsterdam on July 31st.
The training camp is billed for Austria from July 25th to August 1st towards the season opener from August 8.

July 5th – Official training start
July 17th (6 pm) – test match against AZ Alkmaar (Cottaweg)
July 23 (6 p.m.) – test match against Montpellier HSC (Cottage)
July 25th (until August 1st) – training camp in Saalfelden (Austria)
July 31 – Ajax Amsterdam (time and place still open)
6th to 9th August – First round of the DFB Cup
August 13th to 15th – first Bundesliga matchday
August 26th – Champions League group draw.
