Real Madrid Castilla head Raul Gonzalez has set sights on three players if he is appointed to be in charge of the Los Blancos in the eventual departure of Carlo Ancelotti from the top job.

The Real Madrid legend has been in charge of the academy for quite a while and has never looked away from the possibility of leading the charge in the first team.

This season, Real Madrid has not been convincing. Losing the Spanish Super Cup and trailing Barcelona at the top of the table shows the level of inconsistency, which puts the job of the Italian on the line.

Raul Gonzalez, on the other hand, is one of the favourites to replace Ancelotti.

According to Fichajes, Raul Gonzalez could immediately promote Rafa Marín to centre-back, Sergio Arribas in the midfield, and Álvaro Rodríguez in the strike position.
