PSG could lose another star as Marco Verratti emerges as a top candidate to leave in the summer
The potential exit of some of the big stars at Parc des Princes, including Lionel Messi and Neymar, may not be the last we’ve heard. But other high profile names, including long-standing midfielder Marco Verratti who is said to have offered himself to Real Madrid in the summer.
The Parisians have spent a significant amount of money in the transfer market with little to show for it in the European scene, which they’ve set a strong target to achieve.
The report from Madrid Xtra (h/t Fichajes.net) suggests Marco Verratti has offered himself to Real Madrid. The Italian is said to have contacted Carlo Ancelotti, Real boss, for a potential move to the club.
Verratti, who has spent over six seasons in the French Ligue 1, looks set to seek a new challenge elsewhere. But how possible is the move to the Santiago Bernabéu?
Real Madrid’s problems have been in the offensive position. The Los Blancos are searching for a player capable of delivering goals as Karim Benzema appears to be nearing the end of his career at the club.
But a move to the Los Blancos would mean good business for Florentino Perez on the flip side as the Italian midfielder offers more options. The club would have the luxury of having a good squad rotation in the midfield.
Remember, the club already has a star-studded midfield, including Toni Kroos, Luka Modrić, Fede Valverde, Tchouameni, Camavinga, and possibly, in the summer Jude Bellingham.
