Paxten Aaronson transfer: RB Leipzig and Salzburg watching the American midfielder
Following an impressive start with Philadelphia Union in the Major League Soccer, Paxten Aaronson has caught the attention of RB Leipzig and Salzburg.
Paxten Aaronson, who’s brother to RB Salzburg star Brendan Aaronson could follow his brother’s lead to join either of the European clubs.
Paxten Aaronson began playing professional soccer with Philadelphia Union II in 2020. Following his impressive form, he was promoted to Philadelphia Union’s professional team in the MLS.
During the 2021 season, he played fourteen league matches and scored three times, not a bad start for an 18-year old in the competitive MLS.
According to Rblive, who quoted US sports journalist Tom Bogert, his tweets revealed Salzburg and Leipzig stance on the player.
His older brother Brendan Aaronson also spoke exclusively, as cited by Rblive on his brother’s quick rise.
“I’ve seen him grow up, and I’ve seen what kind of player he is, and he’s going to be very special,” said his brother Brenden of him. In 2021, he made his debut for the United States U20s Men’s National Team.
