Patson Daka: Leipzig and other destinations and targets in the summer

Published

on

Red Bull Salzburg hitman Patson Daka is currently drawn to RB Leipzig in the Bundesliga which could be a clear indication of his impressive form in the Austrian Bundesliga.

For a 22-year old, he could become yet again, the next striker from Red Bull Salzburg to join its older brother RB Leipzig in the Bundesliga after Dominik Szobozlai recently made the move.

At least, this is another opportunity for the die Roten Bullen to improve on its attack since the departure of the clubs highest goal scorer Timo Werner to Chelsea.

The transfer of the 22-year old is billed to take place from next summer transfer windows and he is still tied to his parent club Red Bull Salzburg until 2024.

The transfer watch

Club sporting director Markus Krösche who joined the Saxony based club back in 2019 has been pulling the strings off and on the pitch, with the quality time, he has spent in search of players.

His first approach in the race for a formidable out and out striker was on Hwang Hee-Chan who was signed as a replacement for Werner.

Although the South Korean have started on a poor note, it still does make sense to have a good attacker of his quality capable of scoring important goals.

Hee-Chan himself could still be remembered for his efforts against Premier League club Liverpool in the UEFA Champions League years.

The current target set by the top clubs top hierarchy is to have a hand on the German Bundesliga title which the club has had several near misses despite Bayern Munich dominance in the last couple of years.

Although Leipzig still has a top alterative in Sasa Kalajdzic 23, who is currently making the headlight over at VfB Stuttgart also in the first division.

As things stand currently, various clubs in England and the other parts of Europe have already shown interest in signing the red hot Zambian football star.

Patson Daka stats and how it could relate to Leipzig and other interest in Europe

There’s no doubt about the goal-scoring abilities of the 22-year old Zambian international at Salzburg.

At least, he played alongside names Borussia Dortmund hitman Erling Haaland and Dominik Szobozlai at RB.

This season Daka has scored 23 goals in the Austrian Bundesliga in 19 appearances.

The young prolific attackers have also netted five goals in the OFB cup, three goals for the Zambia national team and two goals gotten from the UEFA Champions League.

This culminates his stats which now invited several clubs to key into the opportunity of signing him probably before the end of next summer transfer window.

For Leipzig, he is a top priority and as such, the club would do the same tactics they did to sign the likes of Dominik Szobozlai, Hwang Hee-Chan in the past.

He desires to move abroad

The player has not ruled out his desires to play outside Austria. At least, his sights are at some of the big teams in Europe.

However, there has been no concrete decision made by him so far and he has no made anything public concerning his next choice of destination amid huge interest from England.

The top destinations of Patson Daka in the summer transfer window

Everton FC

The Daily Star has made a huge claim as cited by Liverpool Echo about the prolific Zambian attacker. According to the newspaper outlet, Everton must act quickly if they have the desire to land Daka this summer.

The Merseyside blue currently a new team under coach Carlo Ancelotti needs an out and out striker like him since the goals scoring power at that club appears to have dropped slowly.

Since the beginning of the season, Dominic Calvert-Lewin and James Rodriguez had been saddled with the responsibility of scoring goals.

However, this seems to have dropped as the season progressed further, putting to blues on the brink of reaching Europe despite starting brightly.

At some point, Everton was clearly at the top for the English Premier League table in a commanding position, the bus lost it due to lack of quality goal scorers even as Dominic Calvert-Lewin and James Rodriguez both had a brief on the sidelines.

For an average club for his blistering career, Everton would be a perfect destination for him as there are no major threats that would leave him languishing on the bench.

Everton in the Premier is one of the best sides he considers playing for.

Liverpool

Consistency is the major problem faced at the Anfield stadium. At least at this point, it is a big concern for the club not being able to defend the league title they won.

A club that won the FIFA Club World Cup, the UEFA Champions League, the Premier League and the UEFA Super Cup, it was the time for the Kop to dominate the world once.

But this could not happen despite having some of the best players including Sadio Mane, Mohamed Salah, Thiago Alcantara, etc. The reds fell to the ground as Manchester City took control of the proceedings.

Patson Daka’s consistency would be a major weapon for Liverpool if they eventually break the bank to bring him to England despite tough competition from other top clubs.

According to Caught Offside, the top hierarchy at the club had already held talks with Red Bull Salzburg in a bid to sign the 22-year in the summer.

He is a brilliant goal scorer making the rounds in Europe.

Looking deeper at the story from Caught Offside, Liverpool have made contacts with the camp of the player even though it was not stated as per the club or his representatives.

Liverpool must act fast if the club’s intentions are geared towards changing the goal scoring form at the club and amid high interest from fellow English clubs.

Manchester United

The Red Devils know a good player when they see him. This was the method used to sign Alex Telles and Bruno Fernandes from Sporting Lisbon.

The Red Devils currently facing goal-scoring problems even though Marcus Rashford and Bruno Fernandes appear to have taken charge of that.

However, the club still lacks a prolific attacker like Patson Daka who can guarantee goals for the club in the long run.

The stats do speak for him, scoring over 30 goals in Austria domestic competitions this season.

United must act fast as Liverpool had already made more advances towards securing his services this summer by establishing contacts with the players camp.

United have already looked at the plan of Signing the duo of Erling Haaland and Jadon Sancho at Borussia Dortmund which appears to be hitting the rock.

The Zambian football could be a perfect option if United fail in its bid to land Haaland who is currently in high demands with clubs like Barcelona, Chelsea, Liverpool and Real Madrid already mentioned as clubs interested in securing his services at this time.

Arsenal

The gunners are currently rebuilding the entire squad. since the arrival of Mikel Arteta to the team, there have been efforts to ensure quality players are added to make the team stronger.

Arsenal is reportedly looking at the plans of signing Daka amid Liverpool and Manchester United interest.

What the offers to clubs

His ability to score goals is the only thing that has attracted him to these clubs.

Looking back at his previous form over the years, he has been consistent with his ability to find the back of the net.

How Leipzig plans for him they eventually win the race for his signature

Leipzig wants to add to it’s collection of strikers meaning the competitiveness of the team would increase even as the the team continues with it’s search for Bundesliga title.
