Newcastle star Miguel Almiron will lead The Guaraníes of Paraguay as they take on Nicaragua in an international friendly at Estadio Defensores del Chaco in the capital city of Asuncion.

The Carabao Cup finalist was one of the most outstanding players for Newcastle United last season as the club earned qualification for the UEFA Champions League.

On the international scene, Paraguay was beaten by Chile in a friendly in March.

Nicaragua, on the other hand, suffered a heavy defeat (4-1) against Uruguay Thursday as they sought to get their first win since November 2022.
