Although having an average age of around 25 years, the English Premier League has some of the oldest players in Europe’s top five League. So who are they?

11. Hugo Lloris (36 years, Tottenham Hotspur)
Hugo Lloris is a french goalkeeper who plays for Tottenham Hotspur. The 38-year-old joined the North London club in 2012 and has since made over 3500 appearances.
He’s been one of the most consistent goalkeepers in the Premier League and the most reliable at Tottenham Hotspur.
10. Vicente Guaita (36 years Crystal Palace)
Vicente Guaita is one of the best goalkeepers in the Premier League this season. The Englishman has been outstanding in between the sticks for the Eagles.
He joined Crystal Palace in 2018 and made over 140 appearances. Guaita is known for his ability to produce outstanding saves that kept the club in most crucial games.
Due to his performance, he was awarded Crystal Palace Player of the Year for the 2020–21 season.

9. Jamie Vardy (36 years Leicester City)
Jamie Vardy is one of the oldest players in the English Premier League. The Englishman has been part of the Foxes team since 2012.
He played a significant role in the team that won the 2015/16 Premier League title and the 2020–21 FA Cup. He is considered one of the greatest players in the club’s history.
Apart from the two trophies he won with Leicester City, he won the Premier League Player of the Season in 2015/16, the Premier League Golden Boot in 2019–20, and the PFA Team of the Year twice.
8. Keylor Navas (36 years Nottingham Forest)
Keylor Navas is a Costa Rican footballer who plays for Nottingham Forest in the Premier League. The goalkeeper is one of the oldest in the EPL this season.
Navas joined Nottingham Forest from Paris Saint-Germain, and the agreement between the two clubs is expected at the end of the season.
Keylor Navas is one of the most successful goalkeepers in the world, having won three Champions League titles, four FIFA Club World Cups, and La Liga with Real Madrid. He also won the French league and Cup with Paris Saint-Germain.
7. João Moutinho (36 years Wolves)
João Moutinho is a Portuguese central midfielder who plays for Wolverhampton Wanderers. He has been a longstanding player at the club since he arrived in 2018.
6. James Milner (37 years Liverpool)
James Milner is a versatile midfielder who plays for Liverpool. He is the oldest player in the club.
Milner joined Liverpool in 2015 and has made over 200 appearances for the club.
5. Ashley Young (38 years Aston Villa)
Ashley Young is the oldest player at Aston Villa. He joined the club in 2021 and has been part of the first team since his second stint.
He is one of the biggest names in English football in the 21st century, having played for Watford and Manchester United.

4. Lukasz Fabianski (37 years West Ham)
Lukasz Fabianski is the oldest active goalkeeper in the Premier League. He plays for West Ham United and has been on the team since 2018.
3. Thiago Silva (38 years Chelsea FC)
Chelsea defender Thiago Silva is the oldest player currently in the Premier League. He has been one of the backbones of Chelsea’s defence since he arrived at the club in 2020.
So far, Thiago Silva has won three trophies with Chelsea in England (Champions League, Super Cup, and FIFA Club World Cup).

Andy Lonergan is Everton’s third-choice goalkeeper. He joined the club in 2021.
1. Willy Caballero (41 years Southampton)
Willy Caballero is the oldest player in the English Premier League. These days he’s been handed the role of third Cho goalkeeper at the club. He joined the club in December 2021.
The Argentine goalkeeper played for Manchester City and Chelsea before joining the Saints.
