VfB Stuttgart currently gearing up for the start of the 2020/21 Bundesliga season even as the newly promoted side just announced the signing of Waldemar Anton from Hannover 96.
Stuttgart signed the 24-year old for a fee which is believed to be in the region of four million euros as per Fussball Transfers.
Anton can be used both in central defense and in defensive midfield. At VfB, the right foot for central defense should be planned. The eleven-time Under-21 international completed 137 competitive matches for Hannover 96.
I am very happy that the change has worked. There were various options – but it quickly became clear to me that I absolutely wanted to come to VfB. VfB is a traditional club that means something to people in the region. That played a role in my decision, as did the discussions with those responsible at VfB, who really put a lot of effort into my work and showed me clearly what the future path should look like. That impressed me a lot.”
