The Super Falcons of Nigeria begin their Women’s World Cup campaign against the Canadian Women’s National team at Melbourne Rectangular Stadium.

The 11-time African champions have played in every Women’s World Cup since 1991 with their best performance in 1999 when they finished in the Quarterfinals.

The Canadian Women’s National team has been one of the most competitive names lately. They finish in the round of 16 in the previous tournament in 2019.

Nigeria and Canada are in group B alongside Australia and the Republic of Ireland.
