The two players will miss the league opening matchday clash with Rivers United due to injuries according to a statement from the club ahead of the match on Wednesday.


As per Brila FM, the two players picked up injuries during the club’s preparatory session for the league game.


Rivers United on the other hand will be hoping for the best results after claiming a massive win on the road in the CAF Confederations Cup in South Africa against Bloemfontein Celtics.

Three Nigerian teens promoted to Arsenal first team

Balogun, Alebiosu, Azeez have been promoted to Arsenal first team for the upcoming Premier League clash with Brighton & Hove Albion.


According to All Nigeria Soccer, the three Arsenal U23 players eligible to represent Nigeria at international level were present in training alongside Coach Mikel Arteta and the rest of squad in preparation for the game.


Recall, Arsenal defeated Chelsea in the premier league and Arteta wants to continue from where he stopped the last timeout.

Iheanacho misses spot-kick as Leicester draw Crystal Palace

Nigerian international Kelechi Iheanacho missed a glorious opportunity to hand Leicester City three points on the road against Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park.


The Nigerian who started in place of Jamie Vardy could not get the ball past Guaita in the 19th and was taken off in the second half for Demarai Gray.

The Nigerian Professional Football League returns to our television screens


Thanks to steps taken by the league management company to ensure the smooth operation of the domestic league, fans and followers were greeted by the Live game involving Akwa United and Dakkada FC at the Nest of Champions in Uyo.


On Sunday, it was reported that the NTA outside Broadcast Vans arrived at the venue in preparation for the game, even though the game was earlier billed to take place on Sunday.


The games are also live in the Next TV platform or the NPFL TV, as fans could watch live games with ease.
