The 23-year-old defender has attracted the attention of the Premier League following his impressive performance in the Spanish La Liga.
According to Spanish transfer portal Fichajes.net, the Magpies would make the Real Betis star a priority ahead of the January transfer window.
Interestingly, a move to the Premier League club could be given a nod by the team’s head coach, Manuel Pellegrini.
Juan Miranda Real Betis statistics, and he would help Newcastle United
Juan Miranda was a Barcelona academy graduate but moved to Real Betis, where he has become one of the key players in the defence. Since 2021, he has made 37 league appearances for the club.
Earlier this year, he was a key member of the Spanish Men’s Football National Team U21 side that finished runners-up at the tournament. This season, he has played six games for the club.
A new face in the left back position
Newcastle United has some key names in the left-back position, including Lewis Hall, Matt Targett and Dan Burn.
However, a re-enforcement would allow for a quality squad rotation, and Juan Miranda would bring valuable contributions to the team even though a guaranteed start could be too demanding.
