Napoli eye Johan Bakayoko and Jesper Lindström
Aurelio De Laurentiis is not prepared to take chances in the event of the departure of Victor Osimhen from Napoli and the overall future of the team.
Now fichajes.com are reporting the Serie A defending champions have identified two strikers, Johan Bakayoko and Jesper Lindström, as potential candidates for the team’s attack.
Already, Victor Osimhen is leading the lines for the Partenopei. However, the Nigerian forward who became the Serie A top scorer last season has many suitors in Europe, so re-enforcement would be necessary for the club.
Napoli were left disappointed following the collapse of the Gabri Veiga deal, which saw the Celta Vigo star join Saudi club Al Ahli.
Although Napoli made two signings (Elia Caprile and Walid Cheddira) and immediately sent them on loan, the departure of Kim Min-Jae to Bayern Munich left a big gap to be filled even though the club had signed Natan as a replacement for the South Korean.
Napoli wants to sign the duo of Johan Bakayoko and Jesper Lindström, possibly in the summer. This comes as the club looks at the possible sale of Hirving Lozano, who becomes a free agent in 12 months.
Johan Bakayoko, who plays for PSV in the Dutch Eredivisie, could move to the Serie A side.
Jesper Lindström, on the other hand, plays for Eintracht Frankfurt. He could join the club for a loan fee of 5 million euros with the option to purchase for 25 million euros.
