Kylian Mbappe’s uncertain future in the French top flight has taken a new twist as the Frenchman expressed his desire to leave the club in a letter, according to L’Équipe via Fichajes.

Mbappe’s current contract with PSG is valid until the summer of 2024, with an option to extend. However, it doesn’t seem to be feasible as the player already has other options in mind.

For months, speculation has been about the player’s intention not to renew with the French club.

In 2021, PSG were not willing to let go of their star man, but the report from Fichajes suggests the club is now ready to sell the player as they are not willing to see him depart the club as a free agent.
