After five years at Borussia Mönchengladbach, Matthias Ginter has decided to pull the plug, he’s leaving at the end of the season and transferring to Inter Milan or Bayern Munich is imminent.
The Borussia Mönchengladbach long-standing defender has decided to choose a different pathway in his career.
In an interview with Matthias Ginter as per FussballTransfers, his decision to leave the club next summer is personal and more of a development for his professional career.
“After much deliberation, I decided not to extend the contract that was due to expire in the summer. After five great years at Borussia Mönchengladbach, it is very difficult for me to take this step, but I have decided to take another path in my career for my personal and professional development, ” said Ginter
Although at the Bundesliga club there’s a need for him to stay, his desire to move elsewhere remains the only headline. So far this season in the Bundesliga, he’s featured for the club fifteen times.
However, what appears to be a mystery at this point is Ginter’s next destination. Although Inter Milan and Bayern Munich were listed as potential destinations, it still isn’t clear where his future lies.
According to his words, he’ll depart Borussia Mönchengladbach at the end of the season to join a different club. Matthias Ginter has been consistent since he joined the club from Borussia Dortmund for the 2017/2018 season.
