United will take on seven-time French Ligue 1 Champions Lyon at 67,144 seater Murrayfield Stadium in Edinburgh as part of the club’s summer tour.

United would use this fixture as a test for its players ahead of the new season as Erik ten Haag takes a closer look ahead of the tough test. Although Lyon finished 7th last season and failed to qualify for Europe, they remain a strong opposition for United.

The last time the two sides met was in the 2008 UEFA Champions League Round of 16 when United won 2-1 on aggregate to advance to the next round.

Arsenal vs Manchester United

Date: July 22nd, 2023

Venue: MetLife Stadium, East Rutherford, New Jersey.

The Premier League rivalry continues in the US. The 2023 Soccer Champions Tour aims to bring the biggest football clubs in Europe to the North American market.

Arsenal missed out on the Premier League title last season following last gasp slip, which saw Manchester City claim the title to make it three consecutive titles.

The match will be played at MetLife Stadium. It has a seating capacity of 82,500 and plays host to the New York Giants and New York Jets of the NFL.

Manchester United vs Wrexham FC

Date: July 25, 2023

Venue: Snapdragon Stadium, San Diego, California.

Competition Type: Friendlies

Wrexham FC United’s takeover by Hollywood actors Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney has led to an increase in the popularity of the club. The Welsh team earned promotion to League Two ahead of next season.

Perhaps one of the biggest fixtures of the summer tour, United will take on Real Madrid at NRG Stadium in Houston, Texas. The Whites are the most successful team in Europe, with fourteen Champions League titles.

The Los Blancos were on a tour of North America last year when they took on Club America, Juventus, and FC Barcelona.

Borussia Dortmund vs Manchester United

Date: July 31st, 2023

Venue: Allegiant Stadium, Paradise, Nevada, United States.

The Yellow Wall puts behind last season’s disappointment after failing to secure the Bundesliga title on the final day.

Bayern Munich took advantage of Dortmund’s slip to claim their eleventh consecutive league title.

United and Borussia Dortmund are not new in European football, as the two sides have met in several occasions. The last time the pair met was in 2016, in the International Champions Cup, with Dortmund earning a 4-1 win over the Premier League giants.
